Current and controversial issues throughout the world are covered, with online articles from newspapers, magazines and academic journals. Once you have searched, tabs along the top of the screen link you to reference sources and other websites.
Access Information:
From the Rio Salado Library website, Opposing Viewpoints can be found by searching Articles—Magazines, Newspapers & More. Once you click on Opposing Viewpoints or any other database title, you will be required to login to search them.
This is the basic login formula:
Username: Your first name.last name (username is all lowercase).
Password: The word Rio, followed by the first 2 letters of your first name, the first 3 letters of your last name, (if your name is less than 3 letters, use your entire last name), and the last 3 digits of your Rio Salado Student ID#. Note: The password is case sensitive; you must capitalize the R in Rio.
For Example, if your name is “Mary Jones” and your Student ID# is 123456789, then your username and password would look like this on your login screen:
Username: mary.jones
Password: Riomajon789
