Scheduling Rooms at Rio Salado College

Rio Salado College makes available many of its meeting, conference and banquet rooms to not only Rio Salado and District wide employees for meetings or official functions, but also external customers. Please remember the following guidelines when requesting to use any of the College's facilities:

  • Need a Room?

    At Rio Tempe there are fifteen meeting/conference rooms of various sizes. These facilities must be requested as early as possible to avoid unavailability. Events that require special arrangements or extensive use of Rio facilities will typically be scheduled a minimum of two weeks in advance. Rio Salado College reserves the right to change rooms where Auxiliary Services deems necessary.

  • Need Food at Your Meeting?

    1. College sponsored catering will be provided only upon prior completion and approval of an Official Function Form. A completed, approved Official Function Form must be submitted to Auxiliary Services prior to any catering arrangements being made.

  • Things to Remember:

    Remember to give exact time of event when reserving a room. This is the time that will be posted on the marquee.
    • If you need training on technical equipment please call Rio Facilities #78705.
    • Make sure there is only one requester for each activity.
    • If tables for materials or food are needed, please indicate on request.
    • Rio Salado College reserves the right to cancel rooms where Auxiliary Services deems necessary.
    • College administration reserves the right to cancel events. Events will not be superseded within seven calendar days of an event date.


  • External Customers:

    External customers must request facilities from Auxillary Services, and this should be done as early as possible. Once availability of facilities has been confirmed the Facilities Coordinator and the requesting organization will negotiate an agreement for fees, expectations, etc. Once the facility has been approved by the Facilities Coordinator, a contract will be prepared per the agreement made between the Facility Coordinator and the requesting organization. The prepared contract will be sent to the organization's contact person for signature and must be returned in a timely manner with a certificate of insurance with minimum liability coverage of $1 million.
