
Mike Galloway is one of five national vice presidents for NAFTO (National Association of Field training Officers) and a charter member of AZ NAFTO. He was unanimously appointed by NAFTO's Executive Board to serve as their representative to NCLEET. Mr. Galloway has championed police officer field training issues throughout the United States and is a strong advocate of continuing education for police. He has presented at the national level on a variety of F.T.O. issues for both NAFTO and IACP (International Association of Chiefs of Police).
Mr. Galloway recently retired from the Mesa, AZ Police Department where he had a full and varied career. During his career with the Mesa Police Department he served in numerous areas: patrol, field training officer, SWAT and undercover. He has served as a sergeant over patrol, undercover and intelligence units. As a lieutenant he served in patrol, administration and field training assignments. Lt. Galloway supervised one of the nations few full-time FTO units, dedicated solely to the training of new police officers. Mesa's FTO program is recognized for its academic quality and graduates from the program earn college credits via Rio Salado College.
Mr. Galloway graduated from Mesa Community College with a degree in Administration of Justice. Prior to his employment with the Mesa Police Department he served his country in the United States Marine Corps. While Mr., Galloway is currently employed as a financial planner, he continues to stay active in the field of law enforcement training trough his leadership in national associations and his ongoing involvement in the AZ NAFTO and the FTO Certification Course. He currently resides in Mesa, AZ along with his wife, who is currently a sergeant with the Mesa Police Department.
