Detective Jack Ballentine, a retired twenty-seven year veteran of the Phoenix Police Department, is currently assigned to the Phoenix Fire Department Investigations Division. Detective Ballentine made his decision to become an instructor for aspiring detectives, because he wished to share his many years of experience as an investigator. Jack's philosophy is that he can teach both fundamental investigations and advanced investigations to the same class, while making it both fun and informative. Jack utilizes such techniques as scheduling quality guest speakers, practical exercises, and current topic lectures. Detective Ballentine's goal is to teach his students how to become quality investigators who can leave the course, and immediately conduct an investigation that is both respected and successfully prosecuted.
