PROVISIONAL SEI Endorsement requires:
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint clearance card (plastic) issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
- Valid Arizona teaching certificate (elementary, secondary, or special education)
- Three semester hour (45 clock hours)*
- Teachers, Supervisors, Principals, and Superintendents certified before August 31, 2006 will be eligible for 15 clock hours - 1 credit - EDU 208 - Introduction to Structured English Immersion
EPD220 - Introduction to Serving English Language Learners (ELL) for Certified Teachers (3 credits)

EPD233 - Structured English Immersion (SEI) and English as a Second Language (ESL) Teaching Methods** (3 credits)

EPD244 Reading and Writing in SEI/ESL/BLE Settings** (3 credits)

Note: Post Bacc Students who have taken EDU220 Intro to Serving ELL and/or EDU251 Methods for Teacher SEI/ESL have met the 45 or 90 clock hour requirement. After August 31, 2009 an additional 3 credits may be required based on your enrollment - Consult with an academic advisor for course selection.
* Required of all teachers, administrators, and supervisors.
** Can apply to both the ESL and SEI Endorsements.
